The space is where the student showcases their culinary skills and practise hospitality training to the public. So, we wanted the space to feel like your local café you would find just down the street.
What we had to start with was a tired space which felt more like a classroom or office than a café.
We went to work on a tight budget so had to be creative. First thing was to remove the suspended ceiling, modernise the space with LED lighting. We added timber slats to bring in the warm tones. Brick look vinyl graphics complemented the urban café feel. To complete the new look, we changed out all the café furniture for new.
Outcome was a happy chef, students, and tutors.
